It's just kinda sittin' there.
Compare it with these:
Robert Donat.
Jack Buchanan (holding Diana Dors).
Clark Gable (with Vivien Leigh).
Ronald Colman.
THE NAKED APE GETS DRESSED. For those who strive for better things and who understand, as did Ben Jonson, that: "the pipe marks the point at which the orang-utan ends and man begins". - And those who understand S T Coleridge's: "While Fate tramples on things of beauty, the indignant human heart shall utter them."
Easier said than done, methinks...
ReplyDeleteI think that the current younger generation will find it difficult to adapt to the resurgence of the titfer - but there is something oif it apparently. The 1960s was a decade during which general and regular hat-wearing continued (although all that we hear about the 1960s now is the Beatles and the beatniks, flower-power and free lurve)but hats, although they have been down, are not out.
