If your fancy runs to rose buttonholes, then a hybrid tea rose in a bud, no more open than that shown in the photograph, is just the thing. Try to avoid one in full flower, or you are likely to hear whispered comments such as "Do you think that he's on the stage?" or "I bet that it squirts water", followed by a derisive snort.
My third book, amongst sports such as shooting and fishing, is also going to cover some pastimes, such as growing roses (of various kinds); both outside and under glass.
